MILWAUKEE — The City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) said Sendik’s on Downer has been cleared to reopen.

MHD said it conducted a “thorough inspection” Wednesday, May 7, and found “all pest-related violations have been addressed.” No new pest activity was detected during the inspection. Areas previously identified as having pest activity had been cleaned and sanitized.

MHD said it will continue to monitor Sendik’s on Downer to “ensure compliance.” MHD said Sendik’s on Downer is currently in compliance with health standards.

MHD had previously ordered the business to close on May 5, after finding rodent droppings in basement storage and customer-facing areas of the building.
