The DJ collective, Strictly Social, used to host monthly dance parties and multiple pop-up parties around the Triad. Unfortunately, when the pandemic hit, the group had to develop a new way to get their music out there and perform virtually.

Those virtual shows eventually came to an end on Saturday, April 17, when the group put on its first live show in over a year at City Center Park in downtown Greensboro. DJ Freddie Swinney said they wanted to wait till it was safe for everyone and they are happy to be back doing what they love.

“You know, to be around people is something that is special to human nature in general, so be able to put this on for the city of Greensboro means everything to me,” Swinney said.

The event stayed in accordance with guidelines of local, state and federal mandates concerning COVID-19. Strictly Social is looking forward to hosting more live events in the near future. To keep up with their live performances you can visit their Facebook page.
