WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A North Carolina entrepreneur is teaching children how to grow emotionally stronger.

As the CEO of The Feelings Company, Karen Cuthrell uses a character-based tool called “The Feeling Friends" to encourage children ages three to seven and adults to share their emotions.

Cuthrell started the company after learning her daughter had difficulty expressing her emotions at a young age.

“Being able to express your feelings, the more emotionally intelligent you are, the better off you’ll be in life,” says Cuthrell

Cuthrell sells educational kits and professional development to school districts and daycares.
