WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A Winston-Salem boy has been selected as one of 500,000 entries to be featured on a jumbotron in New York City for the kick-off of National Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

Myles Johnson, 4, was chosen to be a part of a video presentation in the bright lights of Times Square.

His parents say Myles has never met a stranger he doesn't like immediately, and he will leave you with a lasting impact from his contagious laugh and tight hugs.

“For him to be displayed on such a big stage, we're just so excited that other people get to see the little boy that claims the hearts of so many right in our community,” Chelsea Kearns says about her son.

The National Down Syndrome Society's annual Times Square video presentation will take place on September 12.
