GREENSBORO, N.C. – The United States Postal Service is warning of potential delivery delays due to COVID-19 and limited staffing.
Homeowner Wendy Simpson says she didn't receive any mail for five days.
She says she's lived in her house for 30 years and has never experienced anything like this.
Simpson explains that her motorcycle business has been impacted by this because she has to send out parts at specific times.
She's trying to get the problem resolved.
"A telephone call was made and they said due to COVID-19 some of their responses were delayed, and we haven't had any problems since COVID-19 started so it's like all of a sudden, boom, nothing," Simpson says.
Simpson says it's frustrating because every time she calls USPS she receives an automated voicemail instead of an operator.
Simpson says she knows of several people in different area codes experiencing postal service delays.
