There are more than 2,000 of those students in Guilford County.
Guilford County Schools has two hotlines open, one for crises and another for information.
Students struggling with depression, abuse, lack of food, or another crisis can call 336–332–7295 to talk to one of the district’s counselors, who are manning the number around the clock.
