GREENSBORO — It’s been five years since the ACC Tournament was in Greensboro, and fans who follow the tournament are more than happy it’s back in the Gate City.

NC State fan Tom Dillard likes to spend the week camping at the event and said the experience is what makes the ACC Tournament his favorite sporting event of the year.

He and other super-fans spend their time cooking, playing games, and hanging out with friends and family, while cheering on their favorite teams. 

“We love it in this venue, this whole area right here. It’s a one-week-long party. Great food, great fans, and close to all the exciting basketball right there,” emphasized Dillard. 

And the party has just begun in the Gate City because these fans will be camping out all week until the championship is played on Saturday.
