GREENSBORO, N.C. — As some people across the Triad celebrate Valentine's day Friday, a national survey lists Greensboro as one of the worst cities for single people.

Apartment List, a platform that connects renters with apartment listings through an online marketplace, conducted a survey asking 20,000 single renters from 86 cities and metro areas around the country to rate their opportunities to date.

Just 19 percent of Greensboro singles said they were satisfied with dating in their city.

Some people we spoke with understood singles' frustration.

“If you're not already married in your early 20s or if you're not very religious, it's a very religious area, then it can be difficult,” Lucas Younts says.

But, others disagree about these survey results.

“I’m actually really surprised to hear that with as much as Greensboro is growing and what we have to offer, I can't believe that it's a bad place to be single," Russel DeSantis said.
