The school closed on the old Woodland Baptist Church property last week, which has been vacant for eight years.

Wake Forest University asked the school to move last year when it bought the property.

The Christian School is now raising money for renovations at the new property.

It wants security and HVAC upgrades on top of planning to do landscaping.

The goal is to raise $1.5 million.

Spectrum News reached out to Wake Forest University for more information on its plans for the property.

A representative says the school doesn't have an immediate plan to develop it but will include one in its next master plan.
