"Every Campus a Refuge" is a national organization that gives newly arrived families in Greensboro a stronger start.
The Program Coordinator, Kathleen Herbst, said it provides families with a place to live for three to six months, furniture, English language courses, and help finding jobs.
“We try to develop those relationships and use the resources that we have as a college with a cafeteria, with plenty of students, with a gym, an art studio, a library, and share those as much as we can,” said Herbst.
The group is looking to raise $15,000 by the end of the year to support the program and its resources.
