HIGH POINT, N.C. — Guilford County first responders are kicking off the second annual Stuff the Ambulance food drive.
Last year, they donated one ton of non-perishable food items to those in need and this year they hope to double it.
“As first responders we do see the food insecurity that some people in the community face,” said Ross Neugeboren, president at Guilford County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics. “I’ve noticed that they may drive cars that look just like ours, they may be our friends and neighbor, but they don’t have consistent access to good nutritional food.”
The food drive continues into next week at food markets in High Point and Greensboro.
