WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A historic site in Winston-Salem is taking steps to make sure its venue is easier for all to access.
- "Old Salem Museums and Gardens" is working to outline needed changes for those living with cognitive and physical disabilities
- The site invited disabled guests, their families, and caregivers to survey the site
- Officials with Old Salem say they hope to have ramps built for six buildings on site within the next two years

"Old Salem Museums and Gardens" is working to outline needed changes for those living with cognitive and physical disabilities.
In order to get the initiative started, the site invited disabled guests, their families, and caregivers to survey the site.
Officials with Old Salem say they hope to have ramps built for six buildings on site within the next two years.
It's part of a $300,000 plan to make the Old Salem experience enjoyable for all visitors.
