GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Local governments are coming together to make it easier for people to find parks and trails in the Triad.
The new app is called “Piedmont Discovery”.
It has information for over 150 parks within Guilford County.
The app is free on Apple App Store and Google Play.
Guilford County, the City of Greensboro and the City of High Point have officially launched Piedmont Discovery.
It’s an app that makes it easier for people in the area to find parks and trailheads. The app is a collaborative effort between the three government entities.
It allows users to search for and find parks and trails near them, by name and by interest.
The app has information for over 150 parks within Guilford County. App developers also hope it contributes to the tourism industry by drawing current visitors back to the Triad again and again.
Users can download the free app in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
