WINSTON-SALEM, N.C -- Calls poured into police late last night when gunfire erupted in a neighborhood in northern Winston-Salem.
- It was right around 11 p.m. when neighbors started reporting the shots on Cody Drive
- When officers got there, they found 23-year-old Chavon Cockerham lying dead in the street
- Investigators say another five shooting victims involved in the incident showed up at the hospital

Investigators say another five shooting victims involved in the incident showed up at the hospital, plus an assault victim.
All but one are now out of the hospital. The remaining victim is in critical condition.
Police are still working out the details of the shooting and haven't arrested anyone yet.
