RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- Deputies arrested seven people in connection to a dog fighting ring.

• Authorities raided a home Sunday on Highway 49 in Liberty
• Deputies seized two dogs, along with numerous dog fighting materials and drugs
• All seven face a variety of charges, including Animal Cruelty

Authorities raided a home Sunday on Highway 49 in Liberty where they say they witnessed a dog fight in progress.

Those charged included Ronald Vaughn, Robert Charles, Elbert McMillian, Tavon Lanier, James Hunter, Michael Williams and General Williams III.

All seven face a variety of charges, including animal cruelty.

Deputies seized two dogs, along with numerous dog fighting materials and drugs.

All seven are currently being held at the Randolph County Jail.
