GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Cone Health Women's hospital is offering a new way to keep your baby safe while they're sleeping.

The hospital is giving away baby boxes that come with a fitted mattress, mattress cover, extra sheet and instructions for safe sleep.

Besides a firm mattress and their own space, experts say there are other ways to ensure safe sleep.

"We recommend a sleep sack or a swaddler that is firm around the baby, and no fluffy blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, or anything else should be in the bed environment for the baby. Only the baby in their sleep clothes," Said Kaye Gable, director of the pediatric teaching program at Cone Health.
