ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- After four full days of deliberations and then some, the jury has rendered its verdict in the murder trial of Craig Rideout.

The jury found Craig's estranged wife Laura Rideout guilty of second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and burglary. Craig's son Colin Rideout, was found guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. Alex Rideout, also Craig's son, was found not guilty of murder, but guilty of tampering with evidence. Paul Tucci, Laura's boyfriend, was found not guilty of both murder and tampering with evidence.

Sentencing will be September 1 at 1:30 p.m. for Alex, Colin and Laura Rideout. All three Rideouts were taken away in handcuffs.

Tucci, who was cleared of all charges, exited the courtroom without talking. His attorney, Mike Schiano, said his client was left with mixed feelings.

"He's very upset, and clearly relieved the jury found him not guilty, but he's very sad with the verdicts for the other defendants," said Schiano.

Spectrum News spoke with Craig Rideout's sister, Robbyn Drew, following the decisions.

“There has been some justice for my brother. We'll never get him back, but we have some answers. And I'm very sorry for my mom and the other parents and the other families because this has not only affected my family, but their families as well," said Drew.

It all began on July 19, 2016; the last day Craig was seen alive. The next day, a body was discovered in Yates County and the case was swiftly labeled a homicide investigation by authorities.

The following day, police turned to Mendon Ponds Park, at Devil's Bathtub for further evidence in the investigation. The Monroe County medical examiner used dental records to identify the body as Craig Rideout, and the cause of death as strangulation.

The following week, Laura, Alex and Colin were arrested in connection to Craig's death. The brothers were accused of cleaning up blood and other physical evidence at the crime scene using solvents, gloves and acid-based drain cleaner.

On September 6, 2016, Tucci was arrested for evidence tampering. A surveillance photo released the week prior by the District Attorney's Office showed Laura and Tucci entering a Hudson Avenue Walmart. According to court papers, Tucci paid cash for a tarp, bungee cords, three bottles of heavy drain cleaner and a Diet Coke the night before Craig's body was discovered. Wayne County authorities said his body was found wrapped in a tarp secured by bungee cords and his face disfigured by a corrosive acid.

On December 2, 2016, all four of the accused were indicted by a grand jury on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
