NORTH CAROLINA - SafeWise has released a report, listing the 20 safest cities in North Carolina.

The cities were ranked based on statistics from the most recent FBI Crime Report.

Craven County city Trent Woods, which was listed as the safest city in North Carolina, moved up five spots from last year.

The mission for Trent Wood’s Police Department is “Community First”, organizing and preparing ways to get residents to work with police officials to keep the city crime-free.

Less than 30 crimes were reported in Trent Woods last year.

Out of the 20 cities listed, 80 percent did not report a single murder. Half of the cities listed, reported zero incidents of arson.
