OHIO — The National Weather Service confirmed on Wednesday that another tornado hit the state on April 3, bringing this year's total to 13.

The EF0 tornado touched down in Warren County on April 3, with peak winds of 80 mph.

NWS said the tornado developed just east of Maineville where tree and garage damage were reported near Mounts Road. 

Extensive tree damage was also reported near the intersection of Morrow Cozaddale Road and Ireland Road. A tree was also knocked down on Ludlum Road. 

The tornado then moved northeast, leaving damage in a subdivision near Morrow. 

Alpine Heights Drive and Jessica Suzanne Drive had minor home damages and tree damages.

Near U.S. 22, by Roachester, the metal roof of an outbuilding was removed. NWS said the tornado either briefly crossed or ran parallel to the route.

The last known damage was recorded on Fischer Road where a tree was blown onto a home.

Ohio remains below the number of tornadoes that Ohio saw in 2024 at this time, which NWS Wilmington states was 30. Last year the state saw a record-breaking 74 tornadoes.
