AUSTIN, Texas -- It appears a suspected Central Texas barbecue bandit has been caught -- at least on video for now.

Terry Black's BBQ tweeted out a video that shows a man swiping the Austin barbecue joint's tip jar near the cash register, and placing it into a Favor bag.

Favor specializes in having its "Runners" pick up and deliver food, dry cleaning, prescriptions, clothing and more for customers.

The restaurant, located on on Barton Springs Road, released the video footage and a tweet saying, "Help us find the Favor driver that stole our extremely hard working employees tip money."

It shouldn't be too hard for Favor to track down the driver right?

Well it turns out it wasn't.

A little more than an hour after Terry Black's posted the video, Favor tweeted, "We do believe we have located the individual as we communicated on the phone."

Favor then asked Terry Black's to have police get in contact with them. Austin police said they are investigating the theft.

A spokesperson with Favor released the following statement:

The Runner's actions were completely unacceptable and do not reflect the values of Favor or the Runner community. While Runners operate at their own will, as independent contractors, we have zero tolerance for theft and immediately deactivated this particular Runner from our platform. We are actively working with APD to fully support their investigation and Terry Black's to do everything we can to make right by their staff.

Meanwhile, the lesson of the day remains: Don't Mess with Texas Barbecue!
