More than 60 whole hog cooks participated in the 39th Annual Pig Cookin' Contest Saturday in Newport. Cooks competed to have the most flavorful pig as judges walked around tasting each one.
The family event draws in thousands of residents from across the state each year and helps raise money for local organizations.
