Here's a list of the Memorial Day parades and ceremonies taking place around the Rochester region.

 

City of Rochester

The city of Rochester's Memorial Day parade kicks off at East Avenue and Alexander Street before heading down Main Street and ending at the corner of Main Street and Fitzhugh Street.

 

Brighton

A ceremony will be held in Brighton at the town's Veterans memorial. Attendees can use the main parking lot for the event.

 

Pittsford

Pittsford will hold a Memorial Day parade that heads down Main Street toward the Erie Canal before ending at Pittsford Cemetery where a ceremony will take place.

 

Fairport

A Memorial Day parade will take place on Main Street in Fairport on Monday. The event is hosted by VFW Post 8495. A solemn remembrance ceremony will be held at the village Veterans memorial in Potter Park after the parade.

 

Penfield

The Town of Penfield will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance at Penfield Amphitheater, in the shadow of the beautiful Veterans Memorial, in Veterans Memorial Park, behind the Town Hall.

 

Greece

The town of Greece is coordinating with American Legion Post 468 to host a Memorial Day parade along with a ceremony. The parade will head down Long Pond Road at Janes Road and end at Greece Town Hall. The ceremony will take place at the Greece Town Hall Pavilion.

 

Gates

A Memorial Day service of remembrance is scheduled to take place in Gates on Monday on the Gates Town Hall front lawn.

 

Chili

Hosted by the Chili American Legion, the parade will begin behind McDonald's and head across Old Chili Scottsville Road/Memorial Park to the Chili Community Center Veterans Memorial. A ceremony will immediately follow the parade.

 

Highland Park

There will be a Memorial Day ceremony in Highland Park on Monday hosted by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20 in remembrance of those who died in service of our country. It will take place at the park's Greater Rochester Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Irondequoit

The Memorial Day parade in Irondequoit will get underway on Sunday at Irondequoit High School and travel to Irondequoit Town Hall. A memorial service will be held at the Irondequoit Cemetary on Monday to honor and remember the nation's fallen heroes. Both the parade and the memorial will be conducted by American Legion Post #134.

 

Victor

The American Legion James Cooke Post 931 and local community leaders will remembering and honor all who served with a Memorial Day parade on Monday. It will travel from Victor Central School Campus down High Street to the Village Hall Parking Lot. A ceremony will be held at the Victor Village Hall immediately following the parade.
