TAMPA, Fla. — Carrollwood Day School’s Gigi White is what you would call a fast learner.

  •  Won Gold Medal in Triple Jump at FHSAA State Championships        

  •  Won Silver Medal in the High Jump at FHSAA State Championships

  •  Plays Volleyball and runs Track

  • Has set multiple school records as a Sophomore

In just two years, the Patriots Sophomore who grew up playing volleyball has excelled on the track, turning heads in the high jump and the triple jump.

" She’s just an all-around athlete', says her head coach Clarence Williams

Gigi proved that this year in the State meet, winning a Gold Medal in the triple jump and a silver and the high jump, setting new school records in both.

Gigi got into track when she was  was asked by her friends if she would join the team her freshman year and knowing nothing about it, she had no expectations.

"I just wanted to do good", the Patriots Sophomore said, "I was fine with just second or third, I just didn’t expect to be placing that high".

And now just two years into her high school track career, she has set the bar very high.

She has already set multiple school records and is learning and perfecting her craft every day.

Gigi said this will be a big summer for her as she juggles Volleyball, which she has played since she was six and track which she has quickly made a name for herself in.
