As of June 1, the Kapalama Driver Licensing Center will expand its hours to accommodate moped and bicycle registrations on an appointment-only basis.

Previous hours were 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have now been expanded to 8 a.m. to noon daily at the Bicycle, Moped and Business License office at the Kapalama location. This will allow more mopeds, bicycles and e-bikes to be registered on a weekly basis — the weekly appointment slots will increase from 36 to 90 spots.

“The expanded operation is the latest example of how we’re striving to provide service that exceeds expectations,” said Kim Hashiro in a release. Hashiro is the director of the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services, which administers DMV services on Oahu.

Appointments can be made online via AlohaQ.
