DALLAS — Texas is about to be introduced to its first Banana Ball team.
The Texas Tailgaters is making its debut this year. They join the Savannah Bananas, Party Animals and Firefighters for the 2025 season.
The Tailgaters will play 33 games against the Savannah Bananas, Party Animals and Firefighters. They will play eight games at MLB stadiums in 2025, in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and will finally finish their tour in Houston at Minute Maid Park.
The Tailgaters will host headliner home games in Frisco, Round Rock and San Antonio, where fans will get the full Tailgater experience and be a part of the greatest pregame in sports.
Banana Ball is fast becoming one of the most entertaining games in sports. The first and most recognizable team to play Banana Ball is the Savannah Bananas. With its fast-pace, rule changes, and emphasis on continuous play, Banana Ball strips away the often-criticized lulls and lengthy pauses typical of traditional baseball, delivering a high-octane, entertainment-packed game that keeps both players and fans on their toes. Banana Ball has 11 unique rules. The most notorious among them is that if a fan catches a foul ball, it counts as an out.
