ST. LOUIS — Metro Transit wants riders to be prepared ahead of a busy sports weekend in downtown St. Louis.
"Downtown St. Louis will be teeming with sports fans this weekend with a Battlehawks matchup at The Dome, the Greater St. Louis Marathon, three Cardinals games against the Brewers, and two Stanley Cup playoff games for the Blues," the organization said in a press release. "Metro Transit is the perfect option for anyone looking to enjoy all of the excitement and world-class competition – while avoiding heavy traffic, road construction and parking headaches."
Metro said drivers can park at 21 different Metro Park-Ride lots for free and purchase at $5 Day Pass for the MetroLink. Here's a look at which stops will take you where you need to go:
Stanley Cup Playoffs: Jets v. Blues | Enterprise Center | Thursday, April 24 and Sunday, April 27
Closest MetroLink Station: Civic Center (located one block south from the Enterprise Center)
St. Louis Cardinals v. Milwaukee Brewers | Busch Stadium | Friday, April 25 – Sunday, April 27
Closest MetroLink Station: Stadium (directly adjacent from Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village)
Greater St. Louis Marathon | Market Street | Saturday, April 26
Closest MetroLink Stations: Union Station & Civic Center (both near starting line at Market & 14th Streets)
