SUTTON, Mass. - Massachusetts and local police on scene at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton Wednesday where they said a person fell and died.

The state park remained closed Wednesday afternoon.

State police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Police are offering their condolences to family and loved ones.
