LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Post Position Draw for the 151st running of the $1.5 million Kentucky Oaks and the $5 million Kentucky Derby took place Saturday night.

- 20 colts and 14 fillies are running in the prestigious races next weekend
- Journalism is the favorite for the Kentucky Derby and Good Cheer is the Morning Line favorite for the Oaks
- Journalism will break from Gate 8, Good Cheer from Gate 11
Journalism, trained by Michael McCarthy, is the Morning Line favorite at 3-1. He will be breaking from gate 8. And McCarthy said he's very happy with the draw and the gate. Journalism is McCarthy's second Derby horse. He trained the 2024 Derby runner-up, Sierra Leone.
Good Cheer, the Oaks favorite is trained by Brad Cox. Cox a Louisville native trained 2021 Kentucky Derby winner, Mandaloun.
