DURHAM, N.C. — A man was found fatally shot Friday afternoon near a food truck in Durham, police said. 

The incident happened around lunchtime, and officers responded about 12:30 p.m. after getting a call about a possible shooting.

Police were first called to Garrett Road, but learned the victim was at the 2600 block of N.C. 55, authorities said in a news release.

When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot near a food truck.

EMS responded also, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Officers had not released the identity of the man as of Friday afternoon and said they were still investigating what led up to the deadly shooting.
