WORCESTER, Mass. - Spring is still a little less than a month away, but it's never too early to start looking ahead, and that's exactly what some were doing at the DCU Center Saturday.
The convention center played host to the 2024 Worcester RV and Camping Show. For visitors, it was a chance to explore new campgrounds, check out RVs and camping equipment or even plan an outdoor adventure. This year featured 41 different campers and more than 100 exhibitors.
Jenks Productions put on the show, and said this is a great way to get rid of cabin fever for a little bit and look ahead to the nice weather. Plus, these aren't your every day RVs.
"[They have] a lot of luxury amenities. Beautiful, all of the amenities," said sales manager Charmagne Harris. "Flat screen TVs, full showers and bathrooms. Stoves and microwaves. Multiple sleeping units within some of them. As nice as your home or nicer, and they're very inviting."
Some campers even had real fireplaces. Organizers said camping's popularity is growing throughout several age groups, but specifically among retirees. The event runs through Sunday.
