Karl became the eleventh named storm of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season on Tuesday, Oct. 11, forming into a tropical storm in the Bay of Campeche.
It weakened into a tropical depression Friday evening. The outer bands of Karl brought heavy rain to southern Mexico.
Then it It became a post-tropical cyclone Saturday, Oct. 15 west of Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.
Karl fell apart before it could make landfall in southern Mexico.
