JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Strong representation when claiming Veterans Affairs benefits is important for veterans to understand the ins and outs of the system.

As she tries to help veterans receive as many benefits as possible, Carmella George asks questions to learn as much as she can about their time in and out the military.

The work has become her passion, and it all started with her father.

“My Dad was having problems getting what he needs from the VA, so I wrote Senator Burr and asked him if he could help get him the help he needed, and it got turned around in three months,” George says.

She isn't limited to just North Carolina or the east coast, and she recently wrote a book, Five Quick Tips to Improve your VA Disability Claim: A Resource For Veterans.

“I've met so many people because I serve worldwide, so I have clients in Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, and everywhere,” George says.

She plans to continue to grow her services and looks forward to continuing to help as many veterans as possible. She believes there are far too many representatives going to bat for veterans using the VA system.

George's business, Jacksonville Veterans Disability Services can be found online for veterans needing help with their claims.
