A revel scooter crash in Upper Manhattan has left two people injured, one in serious condition.
The incident happened on Wadsworth Terrace near Fairview Avenue in Fort George around 4:30 Saturday morning.
Police say two men in their 30s were riding on a scooter when the driver took his hand off the handle bars, causing the scooter to strike a guard rail.
The passenger hurt his ankle and is in stable condition at Columbia University Medical Center.
The driver is in serious condition with a head injury.
Revel is now facing several lawsuits against people who say they were injured while riding the scooters.
Last weekend, a Channel 2 reporter died after falling off a scooter.
The company rents the mopeds for 35 cents a minute to anyone with a driver’s license and $5 registration fee.
Revel brought its scooter-sharing app to Brooklyn two years ago and expanded to Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
