National Pawn is donating more than 100 instruments to Noble Middle School as part of its efforts to help support music education.

The pawn store chain donated everything from trumpets and flutes to saxophones at an assembly on Wednesday.

National Pawn has donated more than 4,300 instruments across the state since 2010.

It's also given thousands of dollars to 25 public performing arts programs.

Noble Middle School's band director says this is giving some students opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have gotten.

National Pawn says it will continue to support local musical education next year.

The company will donate instruments to schools in eight other North Carolina counties.
