TAMPA, Fla —Federal investigators are demanding information from former Florida gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum, his campaign team and his political committee.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, a federal grand jury subpoena is looking for information on Gillum’s former employer, a wealthy donor and a charity he previously worked for.

He was Tallahassee's mayor during an FBI corruption investigation into city hall which led to three arrests earlier this year. During his campaign last year, he consistently reassured voters that he was not the target of an FBI investigation.

Gillum settled a state ethics case last month, agreeing to pay a $5,000 fine for receiving gifts from a lobbyist.

As of now, he is a CNN contributor and is leading a voter registration drive in Florida for the Democratic Party.

Gillum told the Tampa Bay Times that he complied fully with the law.
