ORLANDO, Fla. — Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio visited Political Connections to discuss key economic and political issues affecting Floridians in various ways: tax cuts, Venezuela, and relief for Puerto Rico.

Rubio is a senior U.S. senator who has represented the state of Florida on Capitol Hill since 2011. He was also previously the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

In a conversation with Political Connections' Ybeth Bruzual, Rubio talked about the GOP tax cuts at length, particularly how it's being used by companies.

"If we're going to have a tax preference, it should be for investing it back in the business, because that's what creates jobs, that's what grows the company ... " Rubio explained. "That's what we should be giving preference to, by making immediate expensing permanent."
