WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The Port City has crowned a new Miss Wilmington!
In an event full of glitz and glamour, the judges crowned Maya Campbell as the winner of the Miss Wilmington Scholarship Pageant.
Campbell's platform was Relay for Life and her talent was dancing. The other big winner of the night was Avery Picket, who crowned Miss Wilmington Outstanding Teen.
Her platform was Backpack Buddies and her talent was singing. The two celebrated their win with a celebratory selfie, rocking their crowns and some cheery smiles.
The event was held at the Scottish Rite Temple on 17th Street and was completely sold out.
