WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Enjoy one more day of dry (but chilly) weather Friday before our next weather system moves in for the weekend.

After a very cold morning in the 20s along the coast Friday, expect temperatures to warm back into the 40s for today under plenty of sunshine. Clouds will slowly increase Friday night ahead of our next low pressure system.

Though Saturday will be mainly dry during the first half of the day, rain chances creep back up by late in the afternoon, with a steadier rain moving in by Saturday night. Sunday will be the wettest day out of the weekend before the system starts to exit Monday.

Rain totals will remain light across the southern coast with amounts up to a quarter of an inch possible. The Crystal Coast northward will look at a half an inch to an inch of rainfall.
