Craven County Emergency Services Director Stanley Kite says residents should take advantage of the opportunity to get one-on-one help applying for assistance while it is still available.
“To me it’s a more personable service to go to the DRC if you’re still one of those people who have denial letters or you’re still in limbo, to sit down face to face and work through the various workstations there," said Kite.
If you still need to apply for assistance you can visit DisasterAssistance.gov or call 800-621-3362.
Craven County Emergency Services officials say they are willing to help link residents with non-profit organizations offering long-term recovery help.
