WILMINGTON, N.C. – Eight people are behind bars after police say they’re believed to be connected to a recent string of shootings in the Wilmington area.

  • Eight people have been arrested.
  • Wilmington has seen more than 25 shooting instances since November.
  • Anyone with information is asked to contact WPD.

Wilmington Police say they’ve responded to more than 25 instances of gunfire since November 10. Six people in total were shot in these instances, and one of them remains in critical condition in New Hanover County.

While some of those shootings are believed to be isolated, police have arrested Alfred Clark, Narmel Davis, Devonte Gibbs, Marquan Gibbs, Teon Robinson, Kenneth Holmes, Titus Damon, and an unknown eighth person in connection to them.

 The group, which includes validated gang members, faces charges ranging from Possession of a Firearm by a Felon to Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits.

Police say multiple investigations remain underway in the Port City, and are urging anyone with information to contact WPD.
