PORTSMOUTH, VA -- Two crewmembers who suffered from second-degree burns on the Norwegian Escape cruise ship were medevaced by the Coast Guard Monday evening.

The Coast Guard was contacted about two men, ages 25 and 26, who suffered burns due to an accident in the engine room.

The ship was about 24 miles southeast of Atlantic Beach and were hoisted up in a helicopter to be transported to the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport in Nash County.

No word yet on the victims' conditions.
