MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. -- Some trees and street signs took a beating after a tornado went through Morehead City early Tuesday morning.

Officials say several sheds were destroyed, power poles snapped and other structures were affected by the twister.

They also say the damage done is congruent with a weak EF 1 tornado.

No word on if there were any injuries.
