NEW BERN, N.C. – A national publication is shining the spotlight on New Bern.

In a recent issue, Reader’s Digest listed the Craven County city as the “Most Charming Small Town” in North Carolina.

In part, the article says, “The town is full of history throughout its walkable downtown full of tree-shaded homes, centuries-old churches, and historic cemeteries.”

It also urges visitors to stop by Tryon Palace.
