The week of the 4th of July is typically hot in eastern North Carolina, and this year is no different. With plenty of sun, Tuesday's highs will range from the upper 80s at our beaches to the low and mid 90s inland. The humidity will make it feel hotter. The heat index will reach to near 100 in some inland areas from noon through 6 p.m.
