CALABASH, N.C. -- Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire at a well-known Brunswick County restaurant.

• George's Pancake House was closed at the time.
• No one was injured.
• Fire caused mostly smoke and water damage.

It happened Tuesday around 3 p.m. at George’s Pancake House on Beach Drive in Calabash.

The restaurant was closed at the time and no one was hurt.

The fire caused smoke and water damage but no major fire damage.

The cause is still under investigation.
