NORTH CAROLINA -- The North Carolina Aquarium released seven rehabilitated sea turtles to the ocean Monday.
- Released at the Eastern Regional Beach Access in Emerald Isle
- All seven came to the Aquarium around late March
- This kind of Emerald Isle release is rare
The turtles were released at the Eastern Regional Beach Access in Emerald Isle.
All seven came to the Aquarium around late March and were cared for by staff until the veterinary team deemed them healthy to be released.
The Aquarium says this late cold-stunning event, coupled with current warm water temperatures made it possible for a rare Emerald Isle beach release.
