TABOR CITY, N.C. – Authorities in Columbus County have charged a South Carolina man with concealing a death after a woman’s body was found in a wooded area on Marlowe Road in Tabor City Sunday.

Sheriff deputies say Charles Hunt Jr. was first considered a person of interest after the body of 48-year-old Kathleen Capra, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was found.

The Horry County Police said Hunt met Capra in South Carolina while working for Uber but that he was not operating as an Uber driver when he discarded Capra’s body.

The cause of death Capra’s death is unknown pending toxicology and official autopsy results.

Hunt is being held in the Columbus County Detention Center with a $50,000 bond.
