ONSLOW COUNTY -- The Onslow Co. Sheriff’s Office and Jacksonville Police Department are searching for an escaped inmate.

According to police, officials were transporting 35-year-old Daniel Walter England III to a medical appointment on Friday morning when a struggle occurred between him and the transporting deputy. England then was able to run into the woods near the Jacksonville Country Club Golf Course.

England is a white male with short brown hair, is 5’7” in height and 150-160 pounds. He was wearing an orange detention jumpsuit. He was being held at the Onslow County Detention Center on charges of breaking and entering, meth and larceny.
