RALEIGH - He's made his list and checked it twice. He already knows who's been naughty and nice, and very soon, Santa Claus is coming to town.
Claus tells us, "The routes all set, elves are all ready, reindeer are ready. We're ready to go." Jolly old Kris Kringle is looking to make kids Christmas merry and bright this year. Matthew Orellana says, "I'm really excited. I hope I get a playstation 4 really bad." And Anna and Emily Floyd told Santa they want "roller skates and a bike." It's not just young children but the young at heart who are visiting Santa before Christmas Day. Stephanie Mejia told Santa "I want a dog. That's it yeah. Just a dog." While her brother Anthony said he just wants a lot of chocolate. They brother and sister were actually there to get a nice picture for their parents as a present. Anthony said, "It's nice for the holidays for us to come together, take a picture and you know bring that family spirit in."
As Santa prepares, he still has to ask the tough questions. "Have you been good? Listened to mom and dad? You keeping your room picked up and putting your toys away? Being a good boy in school?"
But how are kids preparing for Santa? Ella Reeseputz says, "We usually leave sugar cookies that we get to ice and make." And Daxon Welch says, "We give water and carrots to the reindeer."
Santa says he's all ready and "I really take pride and joy delivering the presents."
