NATIONAL - Burger King's iconic hamburger is going "Tex Mex".
Get ready for the "Whopperito", the fast food chain's latest menu item.
It’s a flour tortilla stuffed with the beef of a whopper, but with added seasonings.
There's queso sauce with chopped tomatoes, onions, lettuce and pickles to round it out.
Burger King's CEO says he's been looking for a way to add Tex-Mex to his menu.
Testing of the item was called a success in some Ohio and Pennsylvania locations.
The "Whopperito" launches at all Burger Kings on August 15.
